The snow is still here, so we went out to play today. It is quite crusty and in some places could hold my weight. If not, I went through the crust layer down 8 inches. The kids mostly stayed on top, which made walking up hills harder, because it was slippery. They couldn't break through it very well to get a better foot hold.
It did however make for good sledding. It also made for rough sledding, since it was a harder surface. Here is the run that was Josh's last. At the end of the run, notice the poor boy's legs flailing and the snow on his face. Ellie landed on his head.
